WORKING WITH BASSETTS VITAMINS

WORKING WITH BASSETTS VITAMINS

Posted September 18, 2016

As you know, I’m fairly health conscious and you might have seen that I recently partnered with Bassetts Vitamins to become the face of its Family Life with More Colour campaign. When they asked if I’d like to come on board I was really interested, not only because I’m always trying to find ways to ensure that the girls enjoy a healthy and active life, but also because I’d been using their vitamins for quite a few years -  I was already a fan!

The campaign encourages families to live life to the fullest, encouraging parents to embrace the ups and downs of family life. They recently did some research, which I’m sure felt quite familiar to most parents, since we’re all going through the same things! It showed that the typical family day out includes three tantrums, three arguments and four rounds of ‘Are we there yet? (as well as lots of fun!) In the car on way to LakeFest in Herefordshire with the girls to visit Bassetts Vitamins, there were definitely a few rounds of ‘Are we there yet?’ just to confirm the research ;)

It’s a great place to visit and a fantastic family-friendly festival in the grounds of Eastnor castle.  Bassetts Vitamins had a stand there with lots of things for families to get involved in together, from reading stories and colouring, to playing dress up. The girls loved having their faces painted and Amelie fell in love with her fairy wings, which have had a few outings since we got back! If you don’t know the festival, take a look if you have kids - it’s a great day out with loads to do!

I was on Sunrise on Sky with Eammon Holmes and did lots of radio interviews last week too to talk about the research and family life in general. Here’s a quick pic of me and Eammon - I’ve not seen him for a while, so it was lovely to catch up!

A big thankyou to Bassetts Vitamins for partnering with me and for keeping the girls healthy each day with their soft and chewy vitamins. To find out more about the Family Life with More Colour campaign, visit www.bassettsvitamins.co.uk or find them on Facebook and Instagram using @bassettsvitamins and #lifewithmorecolour.

DREAMING OF PARADISE ...

DREAMING OF PARADISE ...

Posted February 17, 2016

It seems so long ago now (!), but only a month ago I was flying back from one of the most beautiful places in the world, Atmosphere Kanifushi  in the Maldives, and I’ve been day-dreaming about it ever since!

After such a busy and amazing year, me, Alex, Amelie and Minnie took time out over Christmas for some much needed sunshine before heading back in time for Father Christmas to arrive.

The holiday was a time for many firsts… The first time the girls had been on long a haul flight (much better than I’d thought it would be!), the first time the girls had ever been on a sea plane (what an experience!), the first time we’d been sunset fishing and the first time as a family we’d been on a private trip to watch wild dolphins swimming in the most incredible surroundings. We felt so lucky to be able to experience so many lovely things.

As some of you may know, I’m not the biggest fan of flying so when we discovered that we’d have to hop on a tiny sea plane (with only 10 seats) to take us to our beautiful island, I was slightly (okay, very!) nervous. But it turns out that it was one of the most brilliant experiences flying over the bright blue sea to the golden island we were going to call home for the next few days. The girls became completely and utterly mesmerised by the view. It looked like paradise.

It’s hard to switch off, even when you’re on holiday, but Alex and I made the conscious decision to look at our phones and to check our emails as little as possible whilst we were there which meant that we were took in every view, memory and fun moment with the girls without being distracted – pure bliss!  I couldn’t help taking so many pictures – the resort was stunning so I’m sorry to all of my lovely Instagram, Twitter and Facebook followers for the constant stream of holiday pics but it was idyllic! Everywhere we looked there was another breathtaking view I wanted to bottle up and keep forever.

We stayed in a beautiful villa with a 360-degree view. It was an unbelievably special place and I feel so lucky to have been able to go there. We spent our days paddling in the pools, playing in the sea, sunbathing and a having cheeky cocktail or two over dinner ;) as well eating the most delicious fresh food from a number of the resorts restaurants.

It was recommended to us to go fishing at sunset with the girls - sitting on a little wooden fishing boat as the sun went down; the water was so still and the sky was full of colour; a view which will stick in my mind forever and an experience we’ll never forget.

The girls loved being out on the boat so much that as a final treat, on the last night we decided to take them out to watch the dolphins – another experience that will be hard to top. Watching the girls' faces light up as the dolphins came to see us was very special.

We didn’t want to leave .. but it was important that we were home in time for Father Christmas' big night of the year! ;)

What a perfect end to a crazily busy, but fun year and now I’m refreshed, relaxed and ready to go.

In the meantime, I’ll be dreaming of Atmosphere Kanifushi  in the Maldives… until next time… I hope!

HAPPY CHRISTMAS TO YOU ALL!

HAPPY CHRISTMAS TO YOU ALL!

Posted December 22, 2015

Well, what a year it’s been… wow! I can’t believe how quickly it has flown by! It’s been non-stop since the beginning of January and I couldn’t be more grateful for all of your support along the way. From Strictly to The Voice, to the Bring It All Back tour and beyond, you’ve all been brilliant.

This time last year I was putting in all of the final preparations for the Strictly Come Dancing Christmas Special with the lovely Tristan and was about to go on my second tour with Kevin and the Strictly Come Dancing family. I was so lucky to have been able to extend my Strictly experience – a magical (and very sparkly!) time with a fabulous cast and crew - not to mention the best way to get in shape before touring the UK.

The Voice kicked off in back in January and I’ve been made to feel like one of the family so a BIG thanks to everyone there and also to last year’s #TeamRachel for making my first season on the show so unforgettable. I can’t wait to introduce you to #TeamRachel 2016… the count down to the new series begins, so make sure you tune in! I’ll be back in Ireland very soon - always a pleasure!

I couldn’t sum up this year without mentioning the Bring It All Back Tour…  I’ve had time to reflect on the tour since the shows ended and I couldn’t be happier that we were able to perform for all of you again after 13 years apart. If it weren’t for you, the tour would have never have happened, so a HUGE thank you to everyone who came down to watch and party with us – I can’t thank you enough. Being back with the guys was very special, at times emotional and an experience I won’t forget.

My year has been topped of with a fantastic trip away to the Maldives with the family to spend some quality time together before 2016. But more about my trip in the new year..!

I feel very lucky to have made such wonderful memories in 2015 and Christmas for me is definitely a time of reflection. I think of all of the wonderful families that I met whilst in Florida with Caudwell Children and how privileged I was to have spent such a magical time with them. My heart and thoughts go to all of the families that I met, for what will be for some a really difficult Christmas. Trips like that really do stay in your memory and make you realise how precious life really is. I have also been thinking a lot about my incredible trip to Ethiopia with WaterAid too and meeting the lovely Ajame and her family, who really touched me. Earlier this year I found out that one in five newborn baby deaths are due to infection caused by dirty water and an unsafe environment and one child every minute dies from diseases caused by dirty water and poor sanitation.  As a mum these horrifying statistics really struck a chord with me which is why I’ve been supporting WaterAid’s #DeliverLife appeal which aims to help 130,000 mums and families get clean, safe water - an incredible campaign with an incredible goal. What makes the campaign even more fantastic is that the UK Government are going to double all of the money donated up to the 10th February which means twice as many mums and babies can be helped. More on this next year too.

I’ve seen first hand what an incredible difference our money can make to WaterAid and Caudwell Children, so please, if you can, support to these two fantastic charities, all of the families that they help and I would be so grateful.

After a really knock-out year, all that’s left for me to say is… Have the most FANTASTIC Christmas and New Year!!!

I hope that all of your wishes come true and that 2016 will be the best year yet to come. I can’t wait for 2016!

Lots of love,

Rachel xx

HELLO!

HELLO!

Posted October 23, 2015

I haven’t written a blog post in a while so I thought it was time I said hello! I hope you’ve all had a great Summer and life’s good.

After a mad busy start to the year, I took two holidays with the family one to Portugal and another to Italy with friends and their families too, to the same area where Alex and I got engaged - ahhh! It’s a lovely part of the world and full of happy memories for us so it was a lot of fun and it great to chill out together before Amelie started school (totes emosh!), Minnie started nursery (cue more gulps!) and I headed back on my England/Ireland flight path for The Voice!

The Voice kicked off on Thursday and it was lovely to see my fabulous Irish ‘family' and to get going with the Blind Audition shows. It didn’t disappoint and #TeamRachel is shaping up very, very well (if I do say so myself ;)!). The Blind Auditions are probably one of my favourite parts of the show and I’ll be flying back over to Dublin in a couple of weeks to work really closely in rehearsals with my team for the Battles when the stakes get even higher. It gets more and more intense as we go on now - for everyone involved - the adrenalyn is pumping. So much fun!

Some may say that I’m slightly late to the party .. ;) BUT… I have also finally joined Instagram this week. Really! So far, so good - I’ve managed to put a few images up there! Make sure you get following me at @msrachelstevens  to check out what I’ve been up to. I’ll be posting as much as I can with lots of behind the scenes pics too so check it out to see what’s happening. First up, the new Balmain x H&M collection. How could I not? I was invited to the preview before it goes in store next month and it’s incredible... who doesn’t love an H&M collab!

Anyway, just a quick hello for now and I’ll catch up soon. See you here on Facebook, Twitter  and now Instagram very soon!

Love Rachel x

SUMMER SUN

SUMMER SUN

Posted September 14, 2015

As you all know, it’s been a crazily busy year for me this year and I can’t thank you all enough for your amazing support... and what a year so far!

Since January, I’ve travelled to lots of places in the UK (and further afield!) with the S Club 7 and Strictly Tours as well as going back and forth to Ireland on The Voice - I’ve met some lovely people along the way but have really missed spending quality time with my girls and Alex because they haven’t always been able to come on the road with me.

So, a few months ago we decided to book ourselves a family holiday (just what the doctor ordered..!) and I can’t tell you how fantastic it was to be away in sunny Portugal! I had only been once before but would definitely go back again in a heartbeat. Sun, sea, sand and family, what more could a girl ask for?!

For any of you other mums and dads out there, you’ll know how tricky it can be to organize a holiday for the whole family and to find beautiful places to stay that are completely family friendly. But… we discovered this amazing company called Tots To Travel who select properties in the UK and Europe that are perfect (and safe!) for families with babies and toddlers… ideal!

We stayed at the most gorgeous Villa called Villa Vista do Oceano in Portugal and had such a special week. It was great to not have to think about packing all of the added bits and bobs you need to take with you if you have young kids, like toys, books, plastic cups and travel cots etc. because Tots To Travel have everything you could ever need there, ready and waiting… which meant there was some extra room left in the cases for a few more pairs of shoes ;)

Whilst it was an amazingly special time to spend with my girls (Minnie even took her first steps… very emotional!) it was also lovely to go out to dinner with Alex one evening whilst a lovely babysitter organized by Tots To Travel stayed in with the girls… bliss!

I’m so grateful to have been really busy recently but it’s easy to forget to take time out and recharge your batteries, so going to Portugal was exactly what I needed! We jumped in the car and explored some of the local restaurants and beaches. The girls loved jumping through the waves with Alex and I and playing in the pool at the villa with all of the floats and toys. I think we may even have a potential Olympic swimming champion in Amelie… ;)

I can’t believe how quickly our 10 day break went but it was a very special holiday for us all. Bring on the next few months!!

BIAB 2015

BIAB 2015

Posted May 21, 2015

Wow… These past few weeks have flown by so quickly.

I can’t believe that tonight will be our last ever show… cue tears!

I wanted to say the biggest thank you to absolutely everyone who has supported us along the way. We have had the most INCREDIBLE love from our fans; words can’t describe how grateful we are for keeping the S Club Party alive, not just while we’ve been on tour, but since S Club began. We’ve had fans fly in from America, Australia, Hong Kong, all over the world and it's been so memorable for every single one of us because of you and we are all hugely proud that we could share it with you all over again.

There are so many other people I’d like to thank, Tim for helping put this show back on the road, everyone at XIX Entertainment, my Monstas, Teresa our brilliant tour manager and her assistant Jordan, Simon our musical director, Cece our vocal coach, Malin and Amy our fabulous glam squad, Nicola our stylist, Ezra and the fabulous team for our amazing tour costumes (can I take them home with me please?!), Kate for helping us on the road with all of those quick changes(!), all of our fabulous dancers who have whipped us into shape and kept us sane and Beth, our incredible Creative Director and choreographer.

The tour could not have gone ahead without them and the rest of the crew and team who have worked relentlessly from sound guys and stage guys to drivers and catering and of course, not forgetting Simon and Dave on security! To every single person involved a big THANKYOU!

And to my very patient, loving and supportive family who I have missed so much, I have loved our FaceTime chats each day and seeing you at some of the gigs and cannot wait to get back home for cuddles very soon.

The last night of the tour will be such an emotional one for me. I am so lucky to have been able to experience so many different things, doing a job that I love, and being on tour with the whole gang again has been great fun and an opportunity to re-live some very special times in my life.

When I stepped on the bus at the beginning of May, I could never have imagined the kind of response that we’ve had. So thank you all for being there to Bring It All Back with us… Sheffield, let’s make this one the best one yet - who's with me?

BRING IT ALL BACK TOUR 2015

BRING IT ALL BACK TOUR 2015

Posted May 01, 2015

So we’re back in rehearsals for the tour and we’re all getting a little bit over excited - it’s feeling gooood!

I’ve been busy flying in and out of London to film the live shows for The Voice in Ireland, straight back to see my lovely girls and Alex and then into S Club rehearsals. It’s full on, but I feel really lucky to be able to do the things I love and to be going back on tour soon and the team around me are keeping me organised - big thanks to Teresa, our tour manager and my Monstas.

We’re all fired up to make it a great show and we’re pulling out all the stops, working with a great creative team to make it as special as we can. Cue, pyrotechnics ;)

The new photo shoot for the brochure, album and promotion was done a few weeks or so ago which was good fun and the album sleeve looks great! It’ll be out on 4th May and as I think I’ve mentioned before, some of our supporters and team from when we started out are involved in the tour which is great, including Jeremy who wrote the album sleeve for us. As it happens, gave us one of our first (of many with him!) teen magazine covers to release Bring It All Back so it felt right that he should do it. Big thanks to him!

As the dates get nearer, the butterflies are kicking in. In a good way! It’s been a long time in the making so it’s important to us to make it a good one for all of you who are coming. Rumour has it some of you are flying over from America … wow! … that’s dedication for you. Thank you so much! We’ve had so many messages of support and we can’t thank you enough – it’s great re-living all of your tour memories and seeing your band memorabilia, it brings back a lot of memories and stories for us all too. We’re definitely feeling the love right now..!

There is only a week left until the tour kicks off now so the countdown has well and truly begun…!  Bring.It.All.Back.

CELTIC MANOR

CELTIC MANOR

Posted February 06, 2015

When things get crazy busy, it’s nice to get away for a few days with the family and knowing how busy the diary’s looking, that’s exactly what I did with Alex, Amelie and Minnie earlier this year.

There are lots of great places to go in the UK for a mini break and the gorgeous Celtic Manor in Wales is one of them. We’ve been a couple of times before and because it’s only a few hours out of London, has lots of things for the girls to enjoy - and for Alex and I too! - it's a perfect getaway for us to chill out and relax.

We stayed in one of the Hunter Lodges which are beautiful - huge and yet they’ve got a real ‘homely’ feel to them. You don’t want to leave and to be honest you don’t need to if you don’t want to, because they have everything there that you can think of, but we decided to get out in the fresh air and make the most of the countryside and all the facilities with the girls. We took them on nature walks, explored the grounds (the view are stunning), golf courses - bliss! In fact, it turns out we have a little golfer in the family in Amelie, who put us all to shame at the crazy golf with an impressive performance!

There are a lots of different restaurants to choose from too - which is always a winner for Alex and I as we love a good menu ;) and the food was amazing! One of our favourites was the fine dining at 'Terry M’ … delicious! And a few nights we stayed in too, ordered food to the Lodge and snuggled up on the sofa, in front of the wood fire, hanging out in our pyjamas. The girls loved it - there's an amazing 360-degree view from the Lodge too so they were still spotting animals and things they wouldn’t get to see in London even though we were cosied up inside.

I could literally feel my shoulders dropping after just a few hours of being there. I did pay a little visit to the spa and pool. Here’s me doing my best Audrey Hepburn impression - not quite as glam! - before the most amazing Elemis Visible Brilliance Facial treatment which I’d recommend and would definitely have again.

It felt like we’d been away so much longer than we had. We were looked after so well by everyone, that I’m wondering ‘How soon is too soon to go back?’ Maybe once my dancing shoes are hung up again, we’ll be able to cram another visit in … before heading back to Ireland to start the live shows for The Voice and #TeamRachel.

HAPPY HAPPY CHRISTMAS!

HAPPY HAPPY CHRISTMAS!

Posted December 24, 2014

It’s been such a busy year as you all know, and I’m so happy with all the projects coming up in 2015 too. I feel so lucky!

Filming The Voice has been great fun and I’ve loved flying to Ireland to spend time with Una, Kian and Bressie and all the team who work on the show. They’ve made me feel so welcome and part of the family and I can’t wait togo back there in the New Year and for the show to start so you can see #teamrachel and see all the hard work we’ve been putting in so far. I’ve loved everything about it!

Getting back together with S Club has been something we’ve talked about for a while now and finally, it’s happening. It’s been a while since we were all together but walking into rehearsals that first day for Children In Need just felt right and really natural. We’ve had a good laugh and enjoyed hanging out together but to be back on stage back in November was a really special time. I had goosebumps all over my body and it was an emotional time bringing back lots of memories. Going into 2015 knowing that we have lots of fun ahead of us makes me really excited but especially to be back on stage and seeing all our fans. I was really overwhelmed when the O2 and other venues sold out and seeing all the support we had on Twitter, Facebook and in the press. Thank you so much - we can’t wait to go back out and perform and it’s you guys who have made this possible for all of us, so to each and every one of you a BIG thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Joining the Strictly Come Dancing Christmas Special was great fun. I miss dancing so much - I really loved being part of the show so it was great to put those dancing shoes back on and to challenge myself to learning some new routines with a new partner.

I’ve continued to support various charities and projects from WaterAid and Dettol on their Baby Blanket campaign to travelling to Florida recently to experience Caudwell Children’s Destination Dreams trip. It’s important to me to give back where and when I can and the charities I work closely with allow me the opportunity to really understand the work they do by involving me closely in their activities. Even though I know how hard the teams work, I’m still always shocked by how much their work impacts on the individuals and communities they work with when I see it first hand. It’s a great reminder of how fortunate we are and how much a kind gesture or lending support can mean to those in need and how important it is that we each do something, no matter how small, to help in any way we can. I will continue to work with these charities in 2015 and to help raise awareness and funds for them where I can and I appreciate your support to help me do that.

The start of the year was very much family orientated with the arrival of Minnie in April. Since then I’ve really busy juggling the family and lot of work commitments so I've been looking forward to nesting with the family at home this Christmas. It’s Minnie’s first Christmas, and our first Christmas as a family of four! I can’t wait to make the most of having a little bit of time off before it gets busy again in January!

Big congratulations to my Manager this year too, who I’ve worked with since I first joined S Club all those years ago. She also welcomed a beautiful little girl into the world this Christmas – the best Christmas present you could ask for!

To all of you who have supported me, I’m so grateful to you. It’s amazing to feel the love from my amazing fans all over the world and I really appreciate it and am reminded every day in all your messages, ‘hellos’ and letters of how lucky I am to do this job.

I’m so excited to see what 2015 brings and to have you all share it with me... so here’s to a fantastic Christmas and an even more fantastic New Year!

DESTINATION DREAMS

DESTINATION DREAMS

Posted December 23, 2014

As many of you may know, I was fortunate enough to go on a trip recently, with the amazing charity, Caudwell Children. I joined the charity on their annual ‘Destination Dreams’ trip, which takes 25 children with life-threatening or life-limiting conditions and their families to Florida.

I’ve been a Goodwill Ambassador of Caudwell Children for a number of years now, attending their Butterfly Balls, supporting them and even performing there when my first solo album came out. I've since been asked to be an Ambassador for the Destination Dreams trip which I was delighted to be able to be a part of. Going to Florida with the charity was my first opportunity to really find out first hand where the money donated to the charity goes and how much it is needed and appreciated by everyone that it helps.

Destination Dreams is so special. Caudwell Children allow children to be children no matter what their age, health or background and their families can enjoy their time together, safe in the knowledge that there is 24 hour support for the children at all times from such a fantastic team of volunteers and medics, who give up their personal time to make sure each family is able to have the holiday of their dreams. I loved spending time with them and with the families who were there and loved meeting all of the gorgeous children. It was genuinely a trip of a lifetime for me and a pleasure to be part of. It’s so hard to put into words the experience that I had and to express how special this trip really was. They say that pictures speak 1,000 words, so here are some of the best ones from the trip… I didn’t stop smiling the whole time that I was there!

I have a number of really precious memories that will stay with me forever but being able to watch all of the families, laugh, play and relax with each other was incredible and really touching. It was an emotional time.  Having spoken to a number of the parents, it became really clear that often they’re unable to spend real quality time with all the children in their family in equal measures, but Destination Dreams allows parents to do that with the support of all of the volunteers who make the trip so special for everyone involved. It was so inspiring and I was completely blown away by everything I experienced. I even got to meet the real Elsa and Ana at Magic Kingdom with one of the loveliest little girls, Olivia and her family - I’m not sure who was most excited ;)

Without Caudwell Children and their team of medics and volunteers, many of these families wouldn’t be able to get away, whether it be due to the cost of insurance, travel or the risk of flying with all the medical equipment, or because the children need to be under 24 hour medical care, but Destination Dreams gives families the opportunity to get away from the day to day struggles that they face and have the most amazing holiday in America to create memories that will last forever.

A big thank you to everyone involved and the team at Caudwell Children for inviting me to share such an incredible experience with you all. I’m so privileged to have been part of something so special. If you’re interested to support or to find out more then please do by clicking this link, www.caudwellchildren.com

THE VOICE OF IRELAND

THE VOICE OF IRELAND

Posted October 24, 2014

I had a great time in Ireland last week filming for The Voice. It’s been a while since I was last there but as soon as I landed, it felt good to be back - everyone I’ve met has been so lovely and lots of fun to be around. There’s a lot of S Club love out there too which is nice to see!

The schedule was back to back, so there’s not been much time to explore yet, but it’s on my list as I’ll be there quite a lot over the next few months so it's a great excuse to get out and about with a few long weekends tagged on and hopefully I’ll get some friends out too for support, some exploring and who knows - a bit of Irish dancing?! ;)

The choice of talent who came out to sing to us was really strong and the coaches were all doing their best to pitch for the people they wanted on their teams so it was feisty at times, with everyone fighting for their guys which was good fun, and lots of banter was had! I’m the only none Irish coach so I'm picking up the lingo along the way and getting settled in, sat between Kian and Bressie which reminded me of being back with my brothers! There’s a real bromance going on here, not to mention lots of taking the mickey out of us girls too so having Una there has been great as we're two newbies together this season and we’ve definitely formed a lovely friendship already… (girl power all the way!)…   I’m  having tons of fun and can’t wait to share more with you soon!

I may be biased but ‘Team Rachel’, which is now officially COMPLETE (yes!), is looking really strong. I’ve got an amazing group of guys and girls to work with who are all really different in their style, so I can’t wait for you to hear them all do their thing. Keep up your support with #TeamRachel on Twitter and on Facebook too and let me know what you think.

I’ll be flying back to Ireland for Battle Rehearsals soon to work more closely with my brilliant team before the Battles commence which I’m looking forward to. Mentoring the guys I’ve chosen to work with is a big part of the show. I’ve had great mentors and support from my team throughout my career so it’s good to be able to share some of the things I’ve learnt with the new talent coming through.

Big thanks to all crew and production team, RTE, everyone who auditioned and especially to the fans who popped over to see us during filming, it was lovely to catch up and say hi.

And to my new friends Una, Kian, Bressie, Eoghan and Kathryn - I can’t wait to get back ... so I can’t ;)

JOIN ME AND DETTOL TO HELP PROVIDE UNDERPRIVILEDGED CHILDREN WITH BABY BLANKETS

JOIN ME AND DETTOL TO HELP PROVIDE UNDERPRIVILEDGED CHILDREN WITH BABY BLANKETS

Posted September 17, 2014

As you know, I recently joined forces with Dettol to help promote their Anti-bacterial Laundry Cleanser and to encourage people to donate their baby blankets to children who wouldn’t otherwise have them, both here and overseas.

All the blankets donated will be washed with the product to make sure that they are hygienically clean, before sending them out to children all over the world.

It’s much kinder to wash clothes and baby blankets at 30 degrees, but it can cause ‘bacterial soup’ and leave clothes harbouring germs and bacteria but with Dettol Anti-bacterial Laundry Cleanser, you can use lower temperatures, be kind to your clothes and be safe in the knowledge that they are germ-free too!

Here’s a sneak preview from our photoshoot!

Recently, I came across a great fashion brand called ME&EM. I’ve worn their swing jumpers throughout my pregnancy, but I can’t wait until baby arrives so that I can get my hands on these colour block jumpers too! They are so lovely - perfect dressed up or down and lots of colour combos to choose from.

Their fabulous shirts which don’t have buttons on are no fuss and fit perfectly under any top and come in white or chambray. In fact, there are loads of things I love in their new lookbook. Bring on Spring!!

THE MAGIC OF CHRISTMAS

THE MAGIC OF CHRISTMAS

They say Christmas is a magical time of year and it's the little things which make it special. Here's Alex, Amelie, me and bump looking at the tree lights. I'm sure lots of parents have done just the same thing over the past few weeks, but when a friend took this picture a little moment was captured and, for me, it's made this Christmas very special.

FLYING THE BRITISH FLAG

FLYING THE BRITISH FLAG

Posted September 13, 2013

Being a big fan of fashion, I’m excited that it’s the start of the shows again!  I've been keeping my eye on the New York Fashion Week catwalk updates and already, in my head, I've started planning my shopping trips and outfits for next season!

Victoria Beckham’s Spring Summer ’14 show earlier this week was a favourite for me. She's achieved huge credibility with her collections, is a great role model and a hard working Mum and I love the fact that she surprised everyone with new shapes and a more relaxed style and got great reviews to boot - and yes, seeing her gorgeous little girl sat FROW was very cute too!

She was also pictured in that beautiful Burberry, heart shirt recently which I love - I've got my eye on the beautiful heart bag too ...

Not long now until the shows hit London and everyone will be whipped into a fashion frenzy. I'm counting down the days!

CARRY A WATERMELON - FOR SIX DAYS

CARRY A WATERMELON - FOR SIX DAYS

Posted September 04, 2013

This week, WaterAid's partner, ethical bottled water company, Belu, is challenging the British public to following in the footsteps of Dirty Dancing's 'Baby' (what's not to like about that!?) and to carry a watermelon - for six days! - to celebrate World Water Week, September 1-6 2013.

They're asking us all to adopt a watermelon for the week and ask your friends, family and work colleagues to sponsor you for taking part! They can help you welcome your melons into your lives and you can take it on your daily commute, to the shops or even out for dinner - the choices are endless;) - just make sure you tweet them to me and to @WaterAidUK so we can see what you're up to!

There's a reason for this and that is to raise awareness of issues faced by the millions of people all over the world who still live without access to safe, clean water and have to walk miles every day, putting themselves and their families at risk, just so that they have this basic need. I witnessed people in Ethiopia first who were doing this every day and was genuinely moved by what I saw and committed myself to helping them. One lady in particular, my age, with 8 children - Ajame - really touched me and asked me to help her … so here I am. I may be carrying more watermelons as the week go by and hope that you will do the same.

LOVE IS IN THE AIR

LOVE IS IN THE AIR

I hope you're all having a great summer.

I love it for all the obvious reasons but also because it's wedding season and being the soppy romantic that I am, I love a good wedding and this year we've had loads to go to!

They're all so different, personal and full of happy memories and it's a chance to get dressed up and see all the people you love.

Unfortunately I couldn't make one of my friends' who were tying the knot in Ireland this weekend so this blog is dedicated to them and full of love for their future together. I'm sure I'll catch up with them soon for a glass or two to celebrate!

MALLORCA

MALLORCA

A couple of weeks ago I flew to sunny Mallorca for a swimwear shoot with Select Model Management. It’s been a while - and it was great to be back! It was a long 23-hour day, so huge thanks to my amazing team who always make it great fun. And we did manage a delicious bite to eat at the Hotel Portixol watching the sun go down, before heading to the airport. Can’t wait to share the pics with you all!
